General Requirements for EACC Recruitment 2023
- Applicant must be a Kenya citizen
- He or she must have the acceptable means of identification being National ID or passport
- Candidate should have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- Applicant should possess a minimum mean grade of D+ (D Plus) and above in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination or its equivalent from an examination body recognized in Kenya with a D+ (D Plus) and above in either English or Kiswahili languages
- Applicant should have a minimum of four (4) practicing experience
- Have a leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution (optional)
- Applicant should be a registered member or relevant professional body
- Applicant should be proficient in computer skills
- Applicant should demonstrate results in work performance
- Candidate applying should possess, analytical, communication, strategic and innovative thinking, interpersonal, ability to mobilize resources and negotiation skills
- Applicant should fulfil the Chapter size (6) constitution by possessing the following documents;
- Kenya Revenue Authority (Tax Compliance Certificate);
- Higher Education Loans Board (HELB Clearance Certificate);
- Criminal Investigations Department (Certificate of Good Conduct);
- An approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB Report);
- Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (Dully filled and completed first schedule (s.13) and self-declaration form stamped by the EACC
- Lastly, candidate applying should be free of criminal record
Requirements Investigation Officer II (Lawyer)
For appointment as an Investigation Officer II – Lawyer, a person must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum post-admission experience of five (5) years from a reputable organisation;
- Bachelor of Laws from a recognised institution;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) minimum mean grade of C+ or its equivalent from a recognised institution;
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with current practicing certificate unless exempted;
- Certificate in computer application skills;
- Demonstrated integrity and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
Requirements for Investigation Officer II (Intelligence)
For appointment as an Investigation Officer II – Intelligence, a person must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum relevant work experience of five (5) years;
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognised university;
- Relevant professional qualifications where applicable;
- Training in Intelligence tradecraft and analysis;
- Hands-on experience in collection of intelligence;
- Certificate in any of the following courses: Economic Crimes and Intelligence Course; Public Corruption Investigations Course, Basic Investigations Course,
Requirements for Education Officer II
For appointment as an Education Officer II, a person must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum relevant work experience of five (5) years from a reputable organisation;
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Communications, Economics, Political Science, Law,
- Education, Public Administration, Finance, ICT, Procurement or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) minimum mean grade of C+ or its equivalent from a recognised institution;
- Certificate in computer application skills;
- Demonstrated integrity and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
Note: Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing will be an added advantage.
Requirements for Account II
For appointment as an Accountant II, a person must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum relevant work experience of five (5) years;
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/ Finance Option), Economics, Business, Administration, Business Management or its equivalent from a recognised institution;
- A Certified Public Accountant of Kenya – CPA(K) or equivalent qualification;
- A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK) in good standing;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) minimum mean grade of C+ or its equivalent from a recognised institution;
- Knowledge of the Constitution and the Law;
- Certificate in computer application skills;
- Demonstrated integrity and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
